Properties: The product is orange yellow or
yellow brown powder soluble in water, alcohol, ammonia water, benzene and
chloroform. The aqueous solution is light yellow in color.
Applications: It can be used for the
detection and measurement of fluorides or as acid/base indicator. A
compound capable of forming chromogenic compounds with many metal ions, it
can be used for chromogenic reactions and colorimetric measurements for
zirconium, thorium, aluminum, titanium and beryllium. Also as biological
stain, metal colorant or acid dye
